Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This was an incredible restaurant. It made me want to live in Florida so I could be a regular. The eggroll and the tea were spectacular. The service was amazing, they treated us with so much tenderness and attention. I have never felt more welcomed."
"It's my second time visiting Thai Island Orlando Restaurant. I can honestly say it felt like I was eating from an Abuelita's kitchen Please go support this local family owned business. I would post food pictures but the food was too good to wait. It will definitely be worth it! Best Thai food there is"
"Decided we wanted Thai food for our last day before we headed back home and we came to Thai Island. The couple that owns the place was so sweet and they brought out cookies and plantain chips for us. I got the Thai iced tea which is one of my favorite drinks and my husband had a Chang beer both were great! I got the chicken pad Thai and he got drunken noodles (medium spicy) and both were delicious! They then brought us out hot tea and some fruit which was so good and just what we needed to round out the meal. We can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Orlando. Thank you both :)"
"My wife and I found this place as we preparing to leave Orlando and go back to our home in Gainesville. The woman running the shop was incredibly kind and gave us complimentary plantain chips, cookies, and tea while we waited for our food. This was some of the best Thai food that we have ever had. We got the curry puffs, Thai chicken noodle soup, and Singapore noodles. The food was incredibly tasty and the portions were large, but what really made the meal was the radiance and passion that came from the owner. I can’t wait until the next time I come back to Orlando so I can have this incredible food again."
"The people are extremely nice! She brought me a veggie roll, desert, and hot tea at no extra charge. I had chicken Thai fried rice and it was good but a little sweeter than I'm used to. Food cream out hot and fresh! Only down side is it looks like the dining area could use a good dusting and deep clean."
"Very nice service. They gave free chips, fruits, then green tea! Like home made foods"
"Thai Island Orlando is a locally owned gem serving authentic Thai food. The service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and thoughtful. They even surprised me with complimentary tea and snacks, which was a lovely touch. Excuse the empty plate—the Cheese Bikini (krab rangoon) didn’t survive long enough for a photo. They were tasty, though fairly light on filling. The dipping sauce was complimentary with the dish. The ingredients were fresh and everything was well prepared and flavorful. The shrimp pad see ew was delicious; however, after paying extra for additional shrimp, the portion totaled about seven shrimp, which felt a bit underwhelming for the upcharge. All in all, good experience. Would return. $30 for an appetizer and a dish."
"Best Tom Yum and Panram Specialty Tea was really good, highly recommend it We also got the sampler appetizer. My favorite ones: pot stickers, curry puffs, bikini cheese, and aka-Nom-Jeeb with the clear, lighter dipping sauce that comes with it The owner and cook is just awesome"
